SoleMates is the charity running program of Girls on the Run Charleston. Committed SoleMates (female and male) pursue individual athletic goals while raising money for Girls on the Run Charleston.

  • Register here to be a SoleMate
  • Next, register for the athletic event of your choice (5k, half marathon, triathlon)

  • SoleMates agree to raise a minimum amount of money, depending on the type of race


In Return for Your Support You Receive:

  • Your own easy online fundraising page to which family and friends can donate.

  • GOTR t-shirt and welcome packet upon registering

  • Inspirational emails from GOTR to keep you motivated including fundraising suggestions and training tips

  • A sense of pride from making a difference in the life of a GOTR girl!

Partner Races

Rock 'n' Roll Savannah - Nov. 4-5, 2017

Come join us at the 7th annual Rock ‘n’ Roll Savannah Marathon & ½ Half Marathon on November 4-5, 2017. Saturday races (marathon, half marathon and two-person half marathon relay) start next to Savannah’s iconic golden-domed City Hall, run through the beautiful historic district, and finish with a free family festival in Forsyth Park—with free beer for participants and a free concert by Fitz & the Tantrums for all. Stay for Sunday or come up that day for the afternoon 5K and/or 1 Mile races, which start in Daffin Park and finish inside historic Grayson Stadium. Run any distance on Saturday AND any distance on Sunday to qualify for the Remix Challenge and win a third guitar-shaped medal. Run both the 5K AND 1 Mile races on Sunday to qualify for the Sweet Georgia Pie Challenge and receive your very own personal pie from local bakery Pie Society. See you in November!


Super Hero Run - February 18, 2018

Not Quite Ready for a Race?

New to running? Enjoy walking the dog around the neighborhood?  What if there a was a way to give while doing exercise on your own time without even opening your wallet? There is!! Join GOTR Charleston and other GOTR councils with CharityMiles! 

CharityMiles is a free app that you can download to your smartphone!  Simply enter in your information and click on the GOTR icon every time you walk, run, or bike! 25 cents is donated for every mile you run or walk and 15 cents for every mile you bike.
